This is a movie 'about movies.' The film is divided into three chapters— 'Waiting Alone,'
'Seemingly Beautiful,' and 'Pluto Moment.' It narrates a certain day when a film crew
arrives at the shooting location. Their arrival ripples through the hearts of everyone in
this once tranquil town, but after the waves settle, everything returns to calm. However,
ripples will eventually dissipate, but the impact on their lives and the town's identity
remains, forever changing the way they see themselves and their world.

"RIPPLES OF LIFE"  is a meta-cinematic experience that delves

into the world of filmmaking from a unique perspective. It ingeniously weaves conflicts
beyond the realm of cinema into its narrative, using satire to humorously explore the
gap between reality and idealism. Each character lives in their own "town," seeking an
escape from their predicaments and yearning to break free into the outside world. With
three chapters and three life stories, everything comes down to a matter of choice. The
director refrains from offering solutions to the characters' dilemmas, as the film serves
as a reflection of different choices, ultimately returning to a state of tranquillity.
As the closing film of this film festival, this "film about films" bids farewell to our brief
journey through Berlin's cinema world. It also provides a glimpse into the future of
Chinese independent film. Please remember to "Keep Rolling."
